The year 2000 marked the 40th year of business for the LAF Group. It is a time for us to recognize and celebrate our achievements as a company that has moved consistently from strength to strength. From the founding of the Group by the late Antonio Fazzini, we have grown enormously in experience and skill, but proudly remain a family business which is 100% Australian owned. The scope of the group is unsurpassed; a vertically integrated structure which complements a Manufacturing operation of vast product knowledge with a Contracting Division that boasts four decades of installation experience and a Consultancy Division which is committed to achieving the best solutions for your needs.

Under the helm of current CEO Lorenzo Fazzini, the Group has continued to strive towards providing excellence in the knowledge of Vermiculite, Perlite and their derivatives, and their field application in the Agricultural, Industrial and Building Construction sectors. As a result of our firmly established collaboration with the CSIRO, we have had the opportunity to invest in research and development programmes which enhance our ability to supply the Building and Construction industry with the most innovative and effective products and technical service.

The LAF Group has an ingrained, basic commitment to the highest possible quality of our products and services. In March 1996, the SGS Systems & Services awarded the Group third party accreditation to ISO-NZ-AS 9001 Standard. As a result, our customers are guaranteed product that is manufactured to World Standards, and that our service is without equal. Because our product is manufactured in-house, orders are fulfilled on time every time. Our dedicated personnel will happily supply affordable advice for projects of any size, and our experienced technical support staff are always ready to provide you with any information you may need to make the right decision about your project. We like to think of ourselves as a One-Stop Shop; you won’t need to go anywhere else to find the products or the answers you need.

They provide us with speedy and authoritative input into fire protection and noise abatement issues. In addition, it provides an assurance that our materials and systems will meet or exceed the requirements of regulatory authorities world wide, and that any necessary approvals can be secured quickly and without disruption to the smooth and successful completion of your project.

The development of Quality Assurance is critical in determining the performance of the product in the role for which it was designed. Although it is not possible to predict and assure long term performance, tests conducted under laboratory conditions can accurately determine material properties and their suitability to perform over a wide range of conditions. The LAF Group’s strict Quality Assurance program is put into practice during the manufacturing process, and continues into application and inspection procedures carried out on-site. We currently hold certification to ISO9001 standard requirements, and are regularly audited by SGS Systems & Services .
