VENTILATION SHAFTS, ONE / TWO WAYS CEILING
Composite systems may be used to engineer bespoke ventilation applications to compartmentalise fire, services and ventilation shafts whether they be horizontal (as in underground tunnels), or vertical (as in high rise buildings).
LAF’s VTV integrated modular fire proof and decorative ceiling system for tunnel applications is one such system. The Vermitex® Trimesh® Vitrapanel® module consists of 30 mm Trimesh®, 60 mm of Vermitex TH® and a 6 mm layer of Compressed Fibre Cement (CFC) by Vitrapanel® mechanically restrained together to a steel frame engineered to suit any application. The VTV panel has been tested at CSIRO’s North Ryde facilities in FSH-1375 in conjunction with a number of MEP penetrations.
